Kimberley White

Co-coordinator

Kimberley White is a consultant, mother of a teenage daughter, and a proud Valley West resident. She holds a bachelor's degree in speech communications and a master's degree in sociology, with a focus on affordable and cooperative housing, from Cal Poly Humboldt. She also has a publication on cooperative and affordable housing through the UC Davis Center for Cooperatives. Kimberley is dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion in the Valley West/North Arcata community. She is a member of Arcata CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), CPR and First Aid trained, and passionate about disaster preparedness and community service. She served as a Planning Commissioner for over three years and currently serves on City Council for the City of Arcata.

Kimberley White es consultora, madre de una hija adolescente y orgullosa residente de Valley West. Tiene una licenciatura en comunicaciones y una maestría en sociología con enfoque en vivienda asequible y cooperativa de Cal Poly Humboldt. También tiene una publicación sobre vivienda cooperativa y asequible a través del Centro de Cooperativas de UC Davis. Kimberley está comprometida con promover la equidad y la inclusión en la comunidad de Valley West/North Arcata. Es miembro de Arcata CERT, está capacitada en RCP y primeros auxilios, y actualmente es la miembro más reciente del Consejo Municipal de Arcata.

Eibar Romero

Eibar Romero (she/ella/they) is a bilingual Humboldt native who grew up in the Valley West community of Arcata. She is thrilled to be part of CUNA and contribute to making meaningful decisions for her childhood community. Eibar maintains strong connections with businesses and Latinx residents in Valley West. Currently, she is studying Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with an emphasis on Ethnic Studies at Cal Poly Humboldt. She aims to combine her lived experiences, connections, and education to support the often overlooked areas of Arcata.

Eibar Romero (ella/she/they) es una persona bilingüe, nativa de Humboldt, que creció en la comunidad de Valley West en Arcata. Está encantada de ser parte de CUNA y de contribuir a tomar decisiones significativas para la comunidad en la que creció. Eibar mantiene fuertes conexiones con los negocios y residentes latinos de Valley West. Actualmente estudia Raza Crítica, Género y Estudios de Sexualidad con énfasis en Estudios Étnicos en Cal Poly Humboldt. Su objetivo es combinar sus experiencias vividas, conexiones y educación para apoyar las áreas olvidadas de Arcata.
